Spencer Hartling

Spencer Hartling is a LA based engineer, producer & musician under the musical moniker tp Dutchkiss. Hartling is also a member of the band Harry the Nightgown, and owner/operator of Wiggle World, a recording studio in Altadena, CA. He has a deep background in analog, large format recording studios, and has engineered and produced records at Tiny Telephone, Altamira Sound, Hotel Earth, Panoramic House, & The Village. His solo works include the LP, high functioning, (Leaving Records 2024), co-author of zine Show Invisibles or How to Make a Tape Loop, & the world record for the longest tape loop performance for Colloboh’s Memory in Motion at the Getty Museum.

Sami Perez

Sami Perez is an engineer, producer, touring musican, and educator based in Los Angeles.She’s been engineering & producing records since she was a teenager in San Francisco. Sami got her start working with Women’s Audio Mission, a non-profit dedicated to the advancement of women and gender-expansive people in the recording arts. Over the years, she's worked at Tiny Telephone, Decibelle, Different Fur, Stones Throw, Altamira Sound, and Panoramic House, Big Bad Sound, Hotel Earth, Tropico Beauty, and a number of diy spaces. Sami came up working in large format analog studios, which has a heavy influence her production style in the way that it puts focus on getting raw takes and pulling creativity from limitations. Perez focuses on creating a comfortable space for clients, as the studio can be a very vulnerable and intimidating environment.

Bell Hernandez

Bell Hernandez is a South Los Angeles-based engineer, producer, and artist under the name Lovgirl. Bell has a special interest in recording live bands and working out of the box. A CalArts music school and Women’s Audio Mission alum, she has worked with artists such as V.C.R, Colloboh, and Manu Terrors.

Nicole Rowe

Nicole Rowe is a Los Angeles–based audio engineer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. She has worked across a range of projects, including composing music for clients such as The Peter Do and The Corner. Nicole also writes, produces, and records music as Worthitpurchase.

Mixing

We offer in person and remote mixing services. Our collection of outboard effects, dynamics, and EQ make a great companion to the CADAC Console for live performance, or “dub” style mixing. Our console is wiring into the space to allow a hybrid approach of using the feel of the console in tandem with the ease of Digital recall.

Recording

Our approach ranges from live band tracking sessions to overdub & writing sessions. The space is built with the intention of flexibility.
